The Parade features over 70 entries comprised of floats, schools, businesses, community groups, non-profits, elected officials, United States Veterans, fire engines, motorcycles, Pipes and Drums, marching bands, first responders, Irish heritage societies and other ethnic groups. • Arrive Early Although the parade starts at noon, Parade spectators start lining up along the parade route by 11am. Many people bring folding chairs to use along the sidewalks to make the parade waiting/watching time more comfortable. Keep in mind, you can not sit on Atlantic Avenue street – as this area must be clear for vehicles and floats. The parade has become so popular, that it’s been extended 5 blocks West of Swinton Ave. to West 5th Ave. This is a prime spot to set up and watch the parade. Please use the downtown bypass routes (1st Street – North and South of Atlantic) to stay off Atlantic Ave. before, during, and after the parade.
  • Alcohol Delray Beach has an ordinance prohibiting “open alcohol containers” on the sidewalks and in the street. This is a safety measure to protect our minors and our seniors. There will be vendors and, of course, many restaurants and bars that are open for purchasing beverages. The festival in Old School Square will also have plenty of festive beverages for all to enjoy
  • Restrooms Area businesses reserve their restrooms for patrons. There will be additional portable restrooms located along the parade route as well as at Old School Square. Public restrooms are located on the north side of Atlantic Ave. near the beach and at the parking garage in Old School Square.

Don’t miss the City of Delray Beach St. Patrick’s Day Festival!
Festival: 1 pm – 5 pm  @ Old School Square

The festival is a FREE, family-friendly event that draws in the parade and downtown Delay Beach crowd. The festival will host Irish instrument demonstrations, Irish storytellers, Celtic axe throwing, Irish step dancing, strolling bagpipers, children’s Irish arts and crafts, merchandise vendors, Cliffs of Moher inclusive rock climbing, Blarney Castle bounce house, and much, much more!
