Space of Mind Hosts 6th Annual Halloween Haunted House at SOMething Scary Event!

Each year our SOM students decide on an environmental based theme and transform the schoolhouse into a creepy learning environment! Fun for all ages, games, costume contest and music.  All ages welcome.

This year, environmental education & Halloween scares come together to raise funds for #BahamasStrong disaster relief fund

Hurricanes. Tornadoes. Floods. Space explosions. SOMething Scary is coming again this Halloween as Space of Mind (SOM) – the modern schoolhouse located at 102 N. Swinton Avenue in Delray Beach – imagines a world haunted not by goblins and ghouls, but by our worst fears in our natural world.

This annual educational (and terrifying) haunted house is called Natural Disasters! and is accompanied by festive and frightful games, crafts, face-painting, a dunk tank, deliciously devilish (and sustainably sourced) snacks and treats by culinary arts students, as well as costume contests with prizes in two categories: Most Creatively Reused Materials, and Best Planet-Saving Hero.

Attractions range from $2-$8, and proceeds benefit Bahamas Strong, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing relief and supplies to aid the recovery efforts.

“Natural Disasters!” will be a fun night for families and adults of all ages. The Haunted House scare level can be reduced to zero or turned up to 11, as they say. The goal is to raise as much awareness and Bahamian relief funds as we can, while creating an awesome evening for everyone to be thankful for all we have.
